Professional profileBorbála Takácsné Tóth has been working at the Regional Centre for Energy Policy Research (REKK) at Corvinus University since 2004. As a founding member of REKK, she leads numerous international and domestic consultancy projects, frequently utilizing the European Gas Market Model as a primary analytical tool. Her main areas of expertise include regional cooperation, security of supply, energy geopolitics, infrastructure development and investment initiatives in the gas sector, and gas market competition and regulation. More recently, she has expanded her focus to include energy poverty, the decarbonization of SMEs, and—specifically—gas substitution. She earned her Master’s degree in Economics from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences in 1998, later supplementing it with an M.A. in International Relations from the Central European University (CEU) in 2001. In 2023, she completed her doctoral dissertation at the Corvinus University Doctoral School of International Relations.
