Dr. Zsófia Biró

Dr. Zsófia Biró is a Junior Prima Award and Wolters Kluwer Legal Award-winning university researcher, energy management economist, and space policy advisor. Her "professional triangle" consists of strategy, innovation, and regulation: she examines how a given strategy envisions innovative solutions that currently lack regulatory frameworks and identifies the legal structures necessary for their implementation. When developing regulatory proposals, she ensures that the regulations do not hinder the organic development of innovation but rather encourage its emergence and integration into existing systems. Her current research focuses on the development of national space law and the implementation of energy innovations applicable in outer space. Dr. Zsófia Biró obtained her Ph.D. in 2023, and in April 2024, she participated as a delegate of the Space Generation Advisory Council at the annual session of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space Legal Subcommittee.
