Fuad Sultanov

Fuad Sultanov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan. He graduated from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Laws with options in Management Studies. He received his Master of Laws in Oil and Gas Law from the University of Aberdeen shortly thereafter.
Fuad has over a decade of experience in the energy industry. Previously, he worked for large oil and gas and service companies, before joining Southern Gas Corridor CJSC (SGC) in 2014. SGC is an entity responsible for holding, managing and financing the Republic of Azerbaijan’s interests in the Southern Gas Corridor Project, a cross-border natural gas infrastructure project. He started as a Senior Legal Counsel at SGC, then served as the Head of Legal Department of the company, before being promoted to the role of the General Director of SGC in March 2024 where he continues to date.
