Zsolt Bertalan

Zsolt Bertalan is an energy executive with more than 25 years of leadership and industry experience. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in the development of Hungary’s power system, the advancement of energy markets, the establishment of the Hungarian Power Exchange, and the delivery of programmes supporting innovation and technological transformation. Since joining MAVIR Ltd. in 2002, he has held several senior management positions, including Chief Executive Officer between 2011 and 2013. He subsequently served as Chief Executive Officer of HUPX Ltd. until 2016, before leading Smart Future Lab Ltd., the MVM Group’s startup incubator. As Chief Technology Innovation Officer at MVM Group until 2023, he led the Group's strategic innovation and technology development initiatives. Since July 2026, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of MVM Group.
In addition to his degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics, Mr Bertalan holds an Executive MBA and has completed the Corporate Innovation Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
