Archibald Schubert is the Managing Director of MOL E&P Hungary, the largest Hungarian oil and gas producer, from 2023.

Between 2020 and 2023, he worked as Managing Director of MOL Group Upstream Commercial and Business Development, also overseeing MOL's key international oil investments. In this period, he was a member of the Board of Directors of MOL's international joint ventures in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (Pearl, Shaikan), Azerbaijan (ACG), Kazakhstan (UOG), Russia (Baitex), Norway (MOL Norge) and Romania (Panfora). Since 2023, he has co-chaired the Hungarian-Azeri Business Council.

Prior to that, he held several managerial positions in the Upstream sector and in finance. 

Since April 2024, he has been actively promoting the interests of the Hungarian mining industry as President of the Hungarian Mining Association
