Piet Van Assche is the Managing Director of CanCambria Hungary Kft., a gas exploration and production company focused on unlocking tight gas resources in Hungary and central Europe (www.cancambria.com). A registered professional engineer, he has an in-depth technical and commercial understanding of both the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry. He has managed numerous large multicultural and multidisciplinary teams throughout the world for both Shell International, BG, and MOL. A fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE), he studied petroleum economics at the French Petroleum Institute.
